Review: We approached The Roots Company in April 2023 with regard to removing a rather large out of control conifer hedge at the front of our property. They promptly booked a site visit which was followed by a very competitive quote for the removal and disposal of our monstrosity which we accepted. Because we wished to replace the hedge with a Yew version, Roots advised us not to plant straight away so as to give the soil a chance to recover, also the wetter winter weather would be better for the new plants to establish themselves. Not something that was ever suggested or mentioned in other contractors quotes.In November we approached Roots again and received the quote for supplying and planting the new hedge. Its going to take some time to gain the height we want but we are over the moon with the result, service, advice and the professional way the project was undertaken. Many thanks to Thom & Greg and their team for organising and executing this for us.

Review: Fiona, Tom and the team from Roots were very professional throughout the quotation & booking process and very efficient during the day of the work. We had quite a few large trees pollarded around our property and the result is fantastic. They were always available and open to questions. The work was carried out as requested and the site was cleaned up afterwards. We would use them again in the future and recommend them to any future clients.

Review: Delighted with the work from Greg and his team. They are proper arborists – i.e. they know their trees and plants, they aren’t just guys with chainsaws. Right from the first visit (free of charge) to estimate the job, I learned a lot about the trees we have, which to prune, which to remove and why. We agreed the work and the price was very reasonable. On the day, they were on time and worked hard and got a lot done on a very cold day! They also went the extra mile – they returned another morning to finish grinding a stump that there hadn’t quite been time to finish. All in all: trustworthy service, high quality work, genuine expertise, faultless attitude – I highly recommend these guys.

Review: My Victoria plum tree and I are very happy with the trim and tidy up provided by two jolly and efficient guys from The Roots Company and also impressed by how quickly and competently they gathered up and took away the cuttings from this and an equally unruly bay tree.
